Drue is the spittin' image of my Jack, who left me 4yrs.ago at the age of 81. Drue and Jack were 6'2"...lanky...very bright, but kind of laid back..both MD's though Jack also had a Phd and taught and did research. Drue's brother Craig, on the other hand, was the spittin' image of Jack's brother, Curtis Wagner. And you, my "great niece", I guess are doing something I wanted to do all my life!! I love your blog..vicarious enjoyment! At 79 yrs. I have to settle for sending clothes from our fantastic recycle center our here on Lopez Island to the Native American Heritage Association in Rapid City, SD weekly. In fact, my 18yr.old grandson who is visiting for a year here, and I drove over there on a 14 day trek of 3000miles. I wanted him to know about the NW (he's from TX. ) and at the Rez I met the most delightful chap who runs the collection center for NAHA. Now it's a lot more personal (: Colton, my grandson, and I both fell inlove with Montana. But I love life on Lopez, too. It's where I plan to spend the rest of my life (: Keep us posted, lovely lady. Don't cry...give it time and you'll do just fine..it's an experience you'll remember and tell your children about one day. Get a pad of paper and keep a daily journal..it will help..and be valuable later on.
Take good care...hugs, Aunt Florence
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4304541655929248546.post-6463619324120147152014-05-25T17:23:26.812-07:002014-05-25T17:23:26.812-07:00What a beautiful story.
