the 15 year old niece that lives with my family to "help out" in exchange for school
I found out yesterday she doesn't know how to read or write
she is still in primary school
she has been in government school since she was 6.
- and my family - my enlightened, educated, progressive tchadian family - is encouraging her to learn a trade
